Epic Pokemon Generation 1 Cross Stitch Complete by lizardlea Epic Pokemon Generation 1 Cross Stitch Complete by lizardlea

This took 130 days with 914 hours of work. (Okay, way less hours than that because I was constantly stopping but that's what got written down.) This means it took me less than one day to do a single Pokemon - I averaged about 6 hours per Pokemon.

Want to commission me? Send me a note and we can discuss! (No, I will not do something this big, it's insane!)

If you like the original Pokemon music and this cross-stitch, you should find some enjoyment out of me in this:

Love it! I was wondering, how much cloth did you get in order to do it? I've been wanting do do this one forever. o3o

:D I bought the largest fabric available to me, which was 30x36 inches. The final product is smaller than that but the other cloths (at least, ones that I can find) were all too small in comparison. I want to say I used 18 count Aida but it's been like, two years so I could be remembering wrong. XD It was either 18 count or higher though.

Thank you so much! I appreciate the reply, and congrats on finishing it! I'll see what I can find. XD I need something to do on the plane ride during Christmas break.

You are very welcome! :) If you do decide to work on the plane, make sure you don't stab yourself!

Hi, I'm thinking of making this as a gift, but I have never cross stitched before. I've done all my research, and have the pattern, but is it alright if I ask you a few questions?

I've heard of half stitch and quarter stitches; does this pattern have any of that? Is it entirely cross stitch, those "x" stitches? I've taken a closer look at the original design and all the symbols confuse me. I know they may be just the color symbols, but I want to make sure. Thanks for your time.

You should definitely work on a small project first just to make sure you enjoy doing it. Jumping into a big one only to learn you hate it will be disappointing.

And for that, nope, this pattern has no half or quarter stitches. Every single stitch is a full one because the designer used the original Pokemon pixels which are all full squares/boxes/etc. All of the symbols are only for the corresponding color so you don't need to worry about that. :) There also isn't any back-stitching so you don't have to outline anything. The project itself is actually pretty easy as far as complexity goes but it is VERY big and time consuming -- and costly.

Thank you so much for the reply. I'll take your advice and try something small first.
